I am experiencing two issues with fully updated Acrobat Pro 10.1.4 on a Vista Business SP2 installation.
Acrobat X crash (Acrobat cannot continue) when saving files opened from Outlook e-mail and also when opening up from local or network drive location, stating Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is shutting the program down due to suspicious memory usage; have tried this with F-secure virus protection switched off with the same result.
Can anyone shed light on whether this is an Adobe issue or a Microsoft issue;
I am a long tern user of Acrobat and have been using the Adobe PDF convertor to print files form a multitude of software packages using this method for a number of years. In the last 6 months, Word 2007, Excel 2007 and Autodesk Autocad Architecture 2011 and 2012 have been causing 'Thunking Spooler APIS from 32 to 64 Process has stopped working' non-printing episodes to occur when using this route; this disables all printing capabilities until Acrobat X is restarted.
I appreciate that the Word and Excel software have specific pdf publishing tools which do work without a hitch, however I still need to produce pdf's from Autocad with the PDF convertor print file and occasionally by default use the same process for Word and Excel files only to be hit with this apparently recent printing problem.
Does this help anyone from Adobe start to shed some light on where the problem might rest.
Any usefull comment would be appreciated.
