Fehler bei Konvertierung
Hallo,

What is the best way to package and deploy Adobe Pro XI?
We currently use AdminStudio Packager in our environment to package the majority of our software applications then we use IBM Tivoli End Point Manager to deploy the software packages to the clients.
I want to package Adobe Pro XI and deploy it to more than ten computers at one time and would prefer to our current setup; however, some of the postings I have read online suggest using Adobe Creative Cloud or the Adobe Customization Wizard.
What is the best way to package and deploy Adobe Pro XI?
Thanks!
Re: What is the best way to package and deploy Adobe Pro XI?
Supported methods are here: Introduction — Enterprise Administration Guide
The Wizard doesn't "package", it allows you to customize the install to suit your organization's needs. You should probably peruse the doc before proceeding: Welcome to the Wizard — Customization Wizard 11 for Windows.

How can I move the bottom toolbar in Reader DC to the top by default
Hello there,
In Reader DC when you first open a PDF there is a "floating" toolbar at the bottom that contains the zoom, full screen display, and other functions/options. It is possible to move this toolbar to the top and merge it with the main tool bar, but this requires user intervention (i.e. a manual button press). I want to know if there is a way, specifically a registry setting that I can set via Reader DC Customization Wizard, that will allow the bottom toolbar to be merged with the top by default.
Thanks!

if it's volume licensed, it doesn't need to activation/deactivation.
Re: Acrobat reader distribution
Dear essaym,
I did it
As a part of a deployment system that can install and update silently a consistent number of programs over n PCs running Windows, I have been able to do what you are asking for Adobe Reader XI, Adobe Reader DC, Acrobat XI Standard and Pro, Acrobat DC.
This deployment system:
- is totally independent from WSUS, SMS, SCCM or whatever you might have
- compared to WSUS (where the user must interact to install updates), happens in a totally silent manner
- does not require any additional server or service
- can be implemented in domain or workgroup as per your preferences
- has been testing in my system since 3 years now (85 clients at the moment)
- works fine on Win7, 8, 8.1, 10 32&64 bit.
Additionally the upscaling limit to 11000 pc would also not be a problem, as the whole deployment system has been designed not to have limits with the number of PCs from the very beginning.
If the topic is still interesting for you, feel free to contact me.
Adobe Reader and SCUP
I am in process of implementing SCUP into our SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 environment. Currently, I have Adobe Reader updates imported and deploying, etc., however, I am seeing some weird behavior in which updates machines are reporting under required, not required, etc.
Our current base install version of reader is 11.0.10, which we have patched to 11.0.11 currently. In my reader updates deployment, I have 11.0.2 through 11.0.14 (the latter being the goal version to get the enterprise onto), however machines only report 11.0.2, 11.0.05, and 11.0.08 as required updates, which will install and appear to roll back our current 11.0.11 versions. I have a case open with Microsoft, and the engineer I am working with did note that they have limited information on the Adobe content, however, they do have notes that show that 11.0.02, 11.0.05, and 11.0.08 are considered "out of band" from normal quarterly updates. All other updates, including the 11.0.14 update are showing as "not required" for 98% of our enterprise - I am wondering if anyone can clue me in as to why.
Thanks,
Sean Huggans
Re: Acrobat reader distribution
If you use SCCM for windows updates, you can use SCUP to import the adobe updates and distribute them using the same method.

Re: Adobe Reader and SCUP
You only need the latest planned update as updates are cumulative. List is here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotes/index.html.
11.0.14 is the latest. What is saying it is not required? Can you send a screenshot?

Re: Adobe Reader and SCUP
I am curious about the evaluation logic that is occurring - as most machines fall into the "not required" category here - however, all machines in the "not required" category have reader 11.0.11 installed, however updates 11.0.02, 11.0.05, and 11.0.08 are the only ones that show up as required for the majority of our enterprise, yet these are older than version 11.0.11 which is what we have on the machines where they show as required?
Acrobat DC Customization Wizard - Current User Registry Settings Not Getting Copied on First Run
I created an MST for Acrobat DC Standard (volume license) using the Customization Wizard. I then installed Acrobat using setup.exe and upon first run, I noticed that only the computer-level customizations were applied. For example, the PDF Printer settings I specified were there, and a file that I specified to be copied to the Program Files directory was there. However, none of the HKCU registry settings were applied. Another setting that was ignored were the shortcuts that I specified to be included in the Tools Pane.
I understand that the custom HKCU settings are stored in: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\2015\Installer\Migrate, and they are supposed to get copied to HKCU on first run. I've read that there is a bug with Reader DC that places these settings in the wrong location, but in my case with Acrobat Standard, I checked and all my customized registry settings are in the correct place in HKLM. They are just not getting copied to HKCU on first run. Any ideas?

Did you ever here an update from Autonomy about this? We have the same issue.

I am still awaiting an answer on this...
Re: How can I move the bottom toolbar in Reader DC to the top by default
Sorry to say the answer is no.
Here's the only pref that has anything to do with that feature: General Preferences (see read mode)
