Unable to open PDFs from network mapped drive

Using the latest version of Acrobat DC and unable to open PDFs from a network mapped drive.  The network mapped drive is created by using Cloudberry Lab's Drive and is attached to an Azure blob storage account.  I have added the path to the trusted locations, but still unsuccessful in opening any PDFs.  I also receive the error:  "Adobe Acrobat DC could not open 'filename' because it is either not a supported file type of because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."

Copying files from the network mapped drive location open as expected part of the time.  Some when copied to desktop copy over with 0 bytes and unable to open receiving the error as above, but will eventually reflect the file size, but still not open.  Original files are intact and open as normal with Acrobat DC and Reader XI and DC.

Acrobat is part of my Creative Cloud Suite.  Latest updates installed.  Running on Windows 8.1 with latest updates installed.  Antivirus running is Webroot Secure Anywhere agent.

Azure blob storage settings is set to Public Container as of now.  Have already tested with Private and Public Blob settings.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Steve,

This link contains SCUP catalog for Reader/Acrobat for just version 10 & 11.

I would like to know the link where I can see older version as well.

How can get Adobe Reader Pro and editing tools installed across the other devices in our offices?

We are using windows software across the business - how do we install adobe reader pro and the editing tools across the devices?

First tell us what you want to install; there is no such thing as "Adobe Reader Pro".  It is either Adobe Reader (or Acrobat Reader), or Acrobat Pro.

Ok, Acrobat Pro is still available, but Acrobat Pro XI is discontinued. It is now Acrobat Pro DC.

You can buy individual licenses or subscriptions, for each user. However, this requires each user to have their own separate Adobe ID (and billing, for a subscription). So you should probably look at volume licensing.

If you are uncertain of what the product entails, you can download a demo of Acrobat Pro DC for 30 days.

If you want help deploying Acrobat, there is a forum on Enterprise Deployment and lots of info there.

SCUP support did not become a reality for Acrobat/Reader until version 10, so no, there are no earlier versions of  a SCUP catalog for Acrobat/Reader.

Re: How to activate Acrobat DC student version

Re: If I upload files using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, what are the limits as to the number of downloads? I publish a set of PDFs every 3 months to about 1600 people. Is this allowed with this product or do I need to sign up for something else?

Hi,

There are no limit to the number of downloads for a shared file on Adobe Document Cloud. Please remember to create an Anonymous Link using 'Send & Track' app, and that can be shared with as many participants as you wish.

Thanks!

Allow printing in protected view?

Hello,

We are deploying Adobe Reader DC on our Win 7 x86 computers and tune the settings via registry keys to achieve a higher level of security.

We want to be able to print "potential insecure" documents without enabling all the other features blocked by protected view.

Is there a way to enable printing in protected view so that one does not have to exit the protected view?

Thank you in advance

Yves

What about this language in the CS6 EULA (https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/acom/en/legal/licenses -terms/pdf/CS6.pdf):

Hi,

In our client environment we have newly configured the SCUP and we have published the all adobe reader updates (from 10 to latest version) to sccm update list.

Currently we are having the 10.1.2 version and we have pushed the all reader updates to client machines. But update is not upgrading to latest version(11.0.11) and none of the version is not installing and also sccm report is showing as 'update is not required'.

so can anyone help me on this please. Appreciated your quick response on this. Thanks in advance.
