1334 is not found in the verbose installation log content.

The log reports the following:

{AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-AB0000000001}

The previous version needs to be uninstalled and a new AIP installed.

Excerpt from the ETK AIP Troubleshooting:

Administrative Installation Points — Enterprise Administration Guide

Why do I see a “another version is already installed” error?

Verify no previous product has been installed. If it has uninstall it. If you’ve already uninstalled, try Microsoft’s or Adobe’s cleaner tool.

This error can also appear if you are patching an AIP in an unsupported order.

Patching msi to 11011

$

Hi,

Can't seem to find clear instructions anywhere on how to patch version to 11011. What file do I need to patch? I have downloaded the .msp file from the Adobe FTP site.

Do I need to start with the original installer - (AdbeRdr11000_en_US.exe)?

I've tried:

AdbeRdr11000_en_US.exe -nos_ne -nos_o "C:\Extract"

But this just starts an installer that just gets to 100% and then disappears. If I use fewer switches, the programme just installs itself. I understand that I need to apply the patch but I can't seem to get this far, and it won't patch the existing AcroRead.msi file I have that is version 11010 (using the msiexec command). It just comes up with a "Windows Installer" box that just lists the commands (like a help screen).

Most grateful if someone could tell me how to create the 11011 .msi file from 11000 (.exe) or our existing 11010 (.msi) file.

I don't understand why Adobe don't just release the latest version in one big .msi file that's already patched, and save us the hassle every time a new patch is released! Other programmes I deploy via GPO work this way, seems logical. It seems as if every time there's a new patch, the whole process changes - is there an easier way that's free?

Thanks

Viewing PDFs in Safari - EULA for Adobe Reader issue.

Let me get the basics out of the way:

  1. Have removed Adobe Reader from all Macs in environment
  2. All machines have Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  3. Internet Plug-in is still Adobe Reader 11.0.11

When opening pdfs in Safari now I get a message saying that I need to accept the EULA in Adobe Reader.  After some testing I've found that I only get that when the plug-in security setting is set to Allow.  When set to ASK the pdf opens fine in Safari.  How can I accept the EULA when I don't have Reader installed on my machine anymore?  Why does it only prompt for that when the setting is at Allow?

Thanks in advance

I imported MST file and saved the package just fine but it threw and odd error when trying to Copy the package.  The MST files acted like they were READ ONLY but they didn't show that in Properties.  Once I re-saved the deployment packages on both Acrobat and Reader the applications installed with the correct settings.

Can I receive large files using Adobe Send

$

I have Adobe Send. I can upload large files and send links to my recipients and they can retrieve them. Does it work in reverse? Can people send large files to me? Or do they have to have Adobe Send?

If I upload files using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, what are the limits as to the number of downloads? I publish a set of PDFs every 3 months to about 1600 people. Is this allowed with this product or do I need to sign up for something else?

I need an affordable way to deliver a 20-20 megabyte zip file of PDFs every three months to approximately 1600 people. Is this the program to do this? Load up to the Adobe storage site and then use an e-mail program to send the link to the recipients?

Steve points to the right docs which also have one liner cmd lines for patching your install.

Additionally, you can get complete MSIs from get.reader.adobe.com (and I think the ftp site), but that method is more work. Easier to just patch rather than reinstall from scratch. That' what admins typically do.

Download source and silent installations of Adobe Acrobat 8.3.1 Pro / Std + Acrobat 9.5.1 Pro / Std

Hallo,

we have inside our company still the need for installations of

Adobe Acrobat 8.3.1 Professional

Adobe Acrobat 8.3.1 Standard

Adobe Acrobat 9.5.1 Professional

Adobe Acrobat 9.5.1 Standard

We have more that 50 sites Global with this need.

For the Kace 1000 we
want to create silent unattended Packages for this software packages.

These packages must be available that users can install own their own via (User Console Library)

Issues;
The installations breaks (log file)  at the point where serial is asked. also if i have created answer *.mst file (blank Serial Field)

Is there a possibility to skip the serial or put in a trial Serial that our site administrators put in the local purchased Serial Number after installation.

Or is there a installation String available for silent / unattended install without Serial Input?

Also where can i find the original download sources for

Adobe Acrobat 8.3.1 Professional

Adobe Acrobat 8.3.1 Standard

Adobe Acrobat 9.5.1 Professional

Adobe Acrobat 9.5.1 Standard

Adobe Acrobat 10.1.5 Professional

Adobe Acrobat 10.1.5 Standard

Adobe Acrobat 11.0.01 Professional

Adobe Acrobat 11.0.01 Standard

Since you mention .mst file, I assume that you are looking for Windows installer downloads.  Most can be found at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install.html

I believe Acrobat 8 Standard download is somewhere on http://prodesigntools.com/ but I cannot find it since they have reorganized their pages.

For your other questions I will move your post to the Enterprise Deployment forum.

Thanks very much for this.

Am using AIP installation.

Have now successfully managed to patch my extisting 11010 AcroRead.msi file to 11011 and deploy via GPO. I think the problem was that I needed to use the AdbeRdrUpd11011_incr.msp patch file instead of AdbeRdrUpd11011.msp.

Thanks for your help

Public Server not accessible for SCUP files.

Hi,

I would like to download SCUP files of Adobe applications like Reader, Acrobat, Flash Player etc. I verified link (SCCM-SCUP — Enterprise Administration Guide and Adobe - Player Licensing : Distribution Strategies and there are only SCUP fils for latest version.

Somewhere I came to know that Adobe host SCUP files on public server at http://armmf.adobe.com/arm-manifests/win/SCUP, which is not accessible right now.

Please let me know if this server is changed or there is other mechanism to get current as well as older SCUP updates of its applications.

Thanks in advance.
