Unable to access ims-na1.adobelogin.comwebsite during atempt to install Adobe Acrobat DC

Hello,

while attempting to activate licence for Adobe Acrobat we were stoped by error saying that website ims-na1.adobelogin.com could not be resolved.

After investigating the issue we found, that the problem is related to resolving given domain name trough our company DNS server.

It seems that Windows 2012 R2 DNS server refuse to resolve given name when "Enable DNSSEC validation for remote responses" option is enabled altough the given DNS record does not have any DNSSEC values.

Are there any sugestions how to workaround around this issue?

From what I have read on forum about posibilities, I can state that:

- use of another dns server is not an option because we use Active directory domain

- other dns servers are blocked on company perimeter firewall

Reader DC - Bad Quality (Icons, Images, ...)

Hello,

I have installed latest Adobe Reader DC in my test-Environment running on Windows Server 2016 and Citrix XenApp 7.13.

The graphic-quality is bad in Reader. Especially the Icons in the main toolbar look shabby.
Have a look at the screenshot:

AdobeDC.png

I tried some settings like "bAntialiasGraphics", "bAntialiasImages" and so on, but there was no improvement.

I did also open up a few PDFs and noticed, that the Image quality is also bad.

Does anybody have an idea on how to improve this?

Additional I noticed, that Adobe Reader DC uses ist own mouse-cursor-set. (black-cursor, hand, ...)

Is it possible to prevent the Reader to change the cursors?

Thank you!

Hi RobinG,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Would you let me know were you trying to install an update patch or trying to install Reader?

You may use this link to download a fresh copy: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Let us know if this helps any.

Is serialization with the Aptee tool permanent or temporary?

We have a Citrix 7.13 environment with installed, published Acrobat DC. The XenApp servers share a read-only disk, and all maintenance is done on a maintenance server in write mode. On our maintenance server, we used the Aptee tool to create and activate the prov.xml file before sealing and publishing the disk, and achieved "Return code was 0". The XenApp workers booted and Acrobat launched fine for a few days without login prompts. Several days later, when launching Acrobat, it just flashes and goes away, possibly it is trying to present a login screen and then closing. The problem is fixed temporarily by running the activation command again.

Is serialization with the Aptee tool permanent or temporary?

Should I be running the activation command on each "read-only" XenApp server?

Should I need to run the activation command every few days?

Thanks in advance

Thank you Adobe for looking at one of our computers.

I have recently been looking at this again and the computers are not running the HDD at 100% like before.  I believe a Windows update may have changed things.

Hello,

I receive the error message below when trying to install 11.0.20.

I have followed all of the instructions that have been used in our office the past.

My initial extraction if from: AcrobatPro_11_Web_WWMUI.exe (file date 3/7/2013)

I am testing the install by using the following before I try a GPO deployment.

C:\Windows\system32>msiexec /i C:\AdobeProTransform\AcroPro11020\AcroPro.msi TRA

NSFORMS=AcroPro.mst

Running Adobe Cleaner does not help.

this Adobe Kb does not help either: Internal error 2753 when installing Acrobat or Reader

Please let me know what additional information you need.

thank you

Moving imaged hard drive to new system

Hello,

We are working on upgrading all our system to Windows 10 with Adobe Acrobat DC installed on the image. We have also used the custimization wizard to create an offline exception and add the serial# to the install. The plan is to create several images on 1 PC and then just replace the hard drives on the machines that we want to upgrade. The problem were are having is once we move the hard drive to the new PC, Adobe Acrobat seems to lose the offline configuration and wants the user to Sign-In with an Adobe ID. We do not want this to happen. If we do not change the hard drive and use the same system that the image was created on, we do not have this problem. Anyone have any ideas on how to get this working without having to uninstall and re-install Adobe Acrobat?

Thanks,

Gavin

How to disable Signin option for Adobe Acrobat DC 2015

Hi All,

I have a requirement to package Adobe Acrobat DC 2015.

The source exe extracts MSI. I have created MST for the extracted file and added serial key and all necessary settings to deploy. Upon installation, on first launch it prompts for Signing option. I am unable to disable the screen after applying some registry sittings specified in the below link:

Online features — Acrobat Customization Wizard DC for Windows

It would be of great help, if someone could assist me in achieving the purpose.

Adobe Installer Blocked by Firewall - Recurring Issues

Over the last 6 months or so I've had to add 13 firewall rules to accommodate changes in to the servers that your products are downloaded from.  The FQDN at the bottom of the list never worked.

This happens every time I need to install Adobe products on a client's computer.  Something new is blocked, and I have to track down your new IP address and add a firewall exception for it, often more than one.  See screenshot below, today I added the rule titled Adobe Acrobat 8. (has nothing to do with version numbers, just the number of rules I've had to add in order to accommodate you.)

Can you provide a FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) for your installation servers so that I don't have to add on average two new Adobe rules every single month?

Thanks.

4% through the installer something else was blocked, it required that I add another rule for 184.25.204.48.

Obnoxious.  Up to 14 Adobe firewall rules now. Two today, surprise, surprise...

You need to use either the Adobe Customization Wizard DC's "Grant Offline Exception" or use the Adobe Provisioning Toolkit (PRTK.exe) to serialize and suppress the Sign-In through the command line.

What error are you getting in the MSI verbose installation log?
