I just moved your question to a more appropriate area (Acrobat Enterprise Deployment).

Re: We have deployed Adobe Arcrobat Pro 2017 via customisation wizard, but having issues with what file path we need to allow within Windows 10 to allow for updates
Thank you Leo, only local admin or domain admin can install MSI's.
We have the following software restrictions enabled, then have software restriction policies to allow certain folders such as the adobe ones listed above.
Is it better to deploy adobe Pro updates the following method via GPO when each Pro 2017 update comes out?
Group Policy-Active Directory — DC Windows Desktop Deployment
Many thanks

Also where can I manually get the latest Adobe DC 2017 version?

You can download it here: Download Acrobat 2017
Prevent welcome page - Acrobat Reader 2017 Classic
We are installing Adobe Acrobat Reader 2017 Classic in our environment via SCCM.
I modified the MSI with the Customization Wizard.
When i restart the Acrobat Reader several times, suddenly the welcome page appears.
I investigate the problem and found out i have to set "bHideUnreadMsgAtLaunch" at "HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2017\AVGeneral".
After the installation the key will not write down?!
I tried to write in "HKLM\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2017\AVGeneral" but same issue!
First the message are not appears, even a few restart of Acrobat Reader the message comes up.
In the registry the entry "bHideUnreadMsgAtLaunch" was wrote but with the wrong data (0x00000000).
Has somebody the same problem and could help me?
I don't understand why it's possible to add registry entry via MST but they will not applied.
Thanks!

missing check for updates widows
Installed Acrobat Pro Dc 2019.012.20034 from the web
I notice a few machines have a newer version.
I went to Help to "check for updates" and its missing.
there is no updater under edit / preferences either.
Thanks
Update 19.012.20034 already installed
I subscribe to Acrobat DC as part of enterprise subscription (Illustrator and Photoshop too).
Updates to Illustrator and Photoshop are pushed through the creative cloud, but I never receive Acrobat updates through cloud. A system admin has to install every time when I prompted through system tray notice. Now system tray notice is telling me to install an update that is already installed (19.012.20034). What's up with that.
I am convinced this is due to previous installation of stand-alone Acrobat Pro installation on the same machine, which was uninstalled prior to installing subscription Arcobat DC.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated so I don't have to call IT every time Acrobat needs to be updated and I can use cloud for updates just like my photoshop and illustrator subscriptions. Also, need help getting rid of annoyances to install updates that are already installed.

Re: Acrobat DC has no the check for updates option
same issue. I have 35 computers and about half of them do not have the Help / Check for updates option. we are subscription based and installed from building the install file on the admin portal. All installed the same way. This post is from November and no answers.... I spent 45 minutes on hold today and they finally hung up on me.
Re: Acrobat DC has no the check for updates option
you're repeatedly posting in the wrong forum. you should post in the enterprise forum linked below.

Re: Acrobat DC has no the check for updates option
sorry. this was a reply to someone else post. I did not know i could control where it goes.
Adobe no longer shows as an option in SCCM for third party updates.
We are running SCCM (1902) and some time in the past month (last available updates show as 6/11) we seem to have lost the ability to receive third party updates. Adobe no longer shows up as an option under the "Products" tab of the Software Update Point Component Properties window.
I have unsubscribed and removed the catalog entries, turned third party update support off and back on, re-added and re-subscribed to the catalogs, synced them and synced Software Updates, and the situation is unchanged. I have been checking online and have seen references to unblocking the Adobe Certs, but they already are. And I've seen the reference to Adobe's name change and to select the new one in "products," but there IS no Adobe listed.
Tried all of this a few times.
When I subscribe to the catalog and it syncs, I do get this error:
Catalog "Acrobat Continuous Track" does not include content signing certificates, attempts to publish update content for updates from this catalog may be unsuccessful until content signing certificates are added and approved. | Solution: Contact the catalog provider to obtain an updated catalog that includes the content signing certificates. |
But posts that I have seen lead me to believe that should have been fixed a month or so ago.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JB
Adobe Reader DC über SCCM
Guten Morgen,
SyncUpdate: 241860f5-5d0b-4076-a841-a1a46687c3e6 - No synchronization record for update with id 241860f5-5d0b-4076-a841-a1a46687c3e6 was found, only updates synchronized by Configuration Manager can have update content published to WSUS by Configuration Manager. Da die beiden anderen Produkte funktionieren, gehe ich von aus, dass meine Infrastuktur soweit in Ordnung ist.
Vielen Dank

Re: Prevent welcome page - Acrobat Reader 2017 Classic
I can not believe that nobody has the same problem like me.
Is there an employee of Adobe?
Re: Prevent welcome page - Acrobat Reader 2017 Classic
I've never heard of the preference you mention. Where did you find the info?
Try bShowWelcomeScreen.
Re: Prevent welcome page - Acrobat Reader 2017 Classic
Thank you for the answer!
The key got set through the installation but unfortunately did not help:
I researched about the "bHideUnreadMessageAtLaunch" like there:
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2301437
bToogleFTE did not help too.

Volume licensing of Reader DC when installed via PDQ Deploy or Desktop Central
Hello,
I am an IT admin for the company I work for. Some of our end-user employees use Reader. We wanted to by default install this software on new computers we assign to users, but our company lawyer does not like a certain provision of the Volume Distribution License for Reader, therefore we have to direct our users to Adobe's website to download/install the software instead of the IT Department installing it on new computers for users. We are not redistributing outside of our company in any way. Only getting it installed on employee workstation computers.
I got to thinking though. What about system administration products out there like PDQ Deploy, Desktop Central, Ninite, etc which allows an admin to automatically take the prepackaged app and deploy it to a computer on their LAN, and keep that product updated? For those products, I don't we would technically be downloading Reader and providing it to users. Those products either come with it or you click a button that goes and downloads the master copy which can be deployed. To me it looks like PDQ/Desktop Central/Ninite are the ones downloading and distributing the software. I just tell them what machines to send it to.
Have the companies behind those products gone through the volume distribution license process and therefore we can use those products without having to go with any special licensing ourselves?
Based on the licensing for Reader DC, to be on the up and up, do we need to in anyway license anything with Adobe or do anything to be compliant if I installed the software via one of these utilities?
Thanks.
